Tonight I'm serving my Broth Braised Yukon Gold Potatoes on the side with New York strip steaks, roasted red peppers and arugula salad but I can also see these delicate cubed potatoes served alongside chicken or fish. The small cubes of peeled Yukon Gold potatoes cook in the broth to make their own creamy sauce which I think hits the spot served in a small bowl so as not to miss a single drop of the deliciousness. Lovely photos, as always! I like how you cubed your potatoes but we all like the skins on around here and it's easier so that is usually the route I take.
ReplyDeleteI think that I will cut my potatoes smaller like you did next time. I just cut them in half and they took longer to cook than I would have liked. Still tasty though.

I love the calm quality your photos exudes. I notice your potatoes were cut into quite small pieces. I suppose all the extra surface is why the starch thickened the broth a bit. Your description of the rich broth sounds very enticing!
